Our Partnership Development Vice President is responsible for identifying, researching, analyzing, developing, and closing new business opportunities in Wellpath State and Federal Division; maintaining relationships with existing state Department of Corrections (DOC) clients to support retention efforts and negotiate any required contract amendments resulting from extensions or changes in scope; and contributing to the Request for Proposal (RFP) process, including review of materials to ensure alignment with client needs and Wellpath’s capabilities.

What you bring to the table


Education:


Bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice, Business, Communications or related field.


Experience:


Experience in working with the behavioral health and/or criminal justice systems, or selling services to the government or similar agencies is preferred.

7 years of professional experience.

Industry experience and Partnership Development experience is highly desirable.

Knowledge of sales strategies specifically for government sales and healthcare industry.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including ability to make verbal presentations in front of diverse audiences.

Knowledge of Wellpath products and services and competitive advantages.

Must be detail oriented, ability to multi-task and balance competing priorities, work in a strong team environment as well as be self-motivated.

Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

Superior skills in negotiating to achieve consensus and favorable business objectives.

Excellent communication, written and presentation skills.

High degree of initiative and independent judgment.

Proven success in dealing effectively with people at all levels of an organization.

Ability to use computers and the typically software applications used by the department.

What you will do


Works with Wellpath Operations and Partnership Development to identify and analyze new business opportunities and develop strategies for Wellpath Partnership Development at the federal, state, county and local levels.

Identifies and closes sales opportunities nationwide, including assigned existing accounts and new accounts in order to meet and exceed assigned revenue and margin targets. Utilizes all Company resources including management, operations, and Partnership Development to achieve objectives.

Presents to elected and appointed governmental officials.

Regularly interacts with external governmental consultants to develop and implement growth strategies.

Forecasts new and existing account growth and revenue as requested by the Senior Vice President of Partnership Development.
