The Vice President of Human Resources (VP) at Maine Medical Center (MMC) reports directly to the Chief Human Resources Officer and will oversee the day-to-day administration of HR programs, policies and services at Maine Medical Center (MMC) The VP is responsible for ensuring efficient, effective, and compliant customer focused HR Operations.The VP works with the HR leadership at MMC to ensure that care is safe, effective, person centered, timely, efficient, and equitable. The VP is responsible for overseeing the strategy to track, monitor and report on HR data analytics, key performance indicators, and other metrics to ensure HR is operating in the most effective and efficient manner in support of MMC and MaineHealth leadership.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
At least 10 years progressive HR leadership experience, with 5 years at the senior or executive level.
Demonstrated experience and a record of success in a highly matrixed environment. Healthcare experience a must.
Knowledge of employment and labor law and extensive employee relations experience
Proven ability to operationalize key HR strategies and policies
Adept at communicating and collaborating with all levels of the organization, from front-line non-clinical managers to physicians to the CEO/President & Senior Executive Team.
Results-oriented, resourceful, innovative and at the same time focused on being cost effective and fiscally responsible.
Collective Bargaining Experience a plus.
Strong communications skills with the ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization, external constituencies, and target candidates. Clear ability to articulate the organizations mission and represent the organization internally and externally.
