We are looking for an experienced voice engineering manager to join our growing team. In this position, you will play a key role in the overall success of our organization by planning, managing, and monitoring engineering functions. You will be responsible for overseeing the various voice integrations engineering projects, processes, budgets, and timelines and making any necessary adjustments in order to ensure successful completion.
Manage the Five9 voice integrations platform, keeping up with industry trends and guide product development towards highly scalable, high performing and robust software integrations solution
Lead the development and QA teams in US and Russia, for assured timely and quality delivery of Five9 voice integrations platform ensuring company's success
Hiring and mentoring the development team to establish sound design principles, implementation and release practices
Overseeing product strategy, architectural oversight, process definition, project management, and product releases to meet company’s customer commitment.
Continually improve existing product’s quality, performance, scalability and stability release after release
Serve as the engineering leader and technical expert in voice
Propose and oversee budgets and timelines for engineering projects
Check and confirm the accuracy of the work performed and the methods used by engineering staff
Monitor and determine various staffing and training needs
Hire, train, and supervise engineering staff members
Spearhead various research and development initiatives to identify opportunities for new projects and improved processes
Communicate and collaborate with other managers, suppliers, and contractors
Prepare and deliver various engineering related presentations
Minimum of a bachelor’s degree in engineering
Master’s degree in engineering management or business administration preferred
Managed a team of 8+ people
5+ years of voice engineering experience; management experience preferred
10+ years of voice experience with a deep domain knowledge in soft switches, contact centers technologies and tools
5+ years of C language experience
Analytical and mathematical mind, capable of evaluating and solving various complex problems
Leadership skills necessary to manage and develop a team
Organizational competencies and project management skills to keep projects, processes, and the entire engineering team on track
Interpersonal communication skills with expertise in distilling complicated topics to a broader audience
Ability to work individually or as part of a team
