The Vice President, AI/ML & BI Platforms leader is responsible for building, operating and evolving an advanced analytics platform and common reporting/BI platform in the cloud.They will engage with data science and analytics teams across the company to ensure feature/function requirements are understood and prioritized to drive maximum value for customers and colleagues.This leader will deliver capabilities that will accelerate innovation and enable hundreds of experiments to run simultaneously.


Responsibilities:


Work collaboratively with all parts of TR to drive a data-driven culture


Design, implement, operate and evolve the TR Advanced Analytics Platform in the public cloud:


Connection to Data Lake and other sources of data


Real-time, Near Real Time and Batch processing


Automated model development lifecycle, devops, model validation, lineage


Model operations capabilities including monitoring for model drift, testing for ethics & bias


DIY/Self-service capabilities for certified analytics teams


Design, implement, operate and evolve the TR BI Platform in the public cloud:


Connection to Data Lake and other sources


Real-time, Near Real Time and Batch processing


Operate and maintain a small set of standard tools.


Design and implement strong security and privacy enhancing technologies & methods.


Actively track and report progress to senior stakeholders on progress, adoption and value enablement


Ensure D&A is a diverse and inclusive organization.


Achieve Financial Plan target; drive productivity improvements


This role will partner across the TR Data & Analytics organization to:


Implement data quality measurement, metadata tagging and lineage/provenance practices (with the D&A Data Management Shared Services team)


Automation of Data Stewardship and Model Governance function (with Data Governance and Advanced Analytics Platform teams)


Deliver on Change Program capabilities


Education and Experience:


Bachelor’s degree in computer science, software engineering or equivalent experience


A minimum of 10 years of experience in software development and deployment


Prior experience working in a large, geographically dispersed organization.


Experience leading and developing highly effective teams


10+ years of software development leadership and/or executive positions


Extensive experience creating and executing technology strategy and technical roadmaps 


Ability to understand, evaluate and discuss technical integration scenarios and architectural concepts 


Experience with Agile methodologies and understanding of modern web/SaaS technologies and systems 


Experience presenting strategy and operational updates to senior executives 


Desired Qualifications:


Experience in driving large-scale change across a global organization


Strong organization, analytical and problem-solving skills with an end-user focus


Ability to prioritize, self-initiate, and create momentum, even with partial guidance or information


Exceptionally strong verbal and written communication skills with ability to effectively communicate updates and desired outcomes in a succinct manner
