We are looking for the VP & Group GM to lead Porch's large and critical Home Services Division that provides software and services to home contractors and fulfills services to homeowners after their move. As VP, you will have full responsibility for both the organic and M&A growth of our portfolio of Home Services businesses and for driving the GTM, product strategy, operations and consumer experience of these businesses. This is an opportunity to aggressively grow multiple businesses with a massive market opportunity at a unique point in the life of the company. More than 5 business units roll into this division today, with more forthcoming as Porch executes on the M&A portion of our strategy. This can be a $1B revenue division with strong margins within ~5-7 years.


The ideal candidate will have had experience as a prior CEO or with meaningful P&L responsibility at the divisional/business unit level. The ideal candidate will have a strong orientation towards growth with experience leveraging sales/BD, product, CX and M&A to drive both growth and customer LTV. The ideal candidate should be highly motivated to run their own show and to build great teams and valuable businesses.


What You Will Do


Own the overall P&L of our Home Services Division (HSD)

Manage our Contractor Services businesses, Security and Internet businesses, software for contractors and any newly acquired businesses within your Division

Actively drive both organic and M&A growth within HSD

Represent/lead the group in all financial planning, monthly ops, and quarterly board meetings to support our strategic and financial planning processes

Lead financial and strategic planning tied to Porch corporate rhythms to ensure we hit quarterly, annual, and long-term growth and margin objectives for HSD

Lead and improve the functional performance of sales, marketing, product, engineering, and operations across the Home Services Division

Coach, mentor, and develop business unit leaders within your group

Directly engage with the largest customer, product, and partner opportunities at the group and business unit level

Work collaboratively with the corporate team and other group leaders to identify and materialize synergies and to support corporate processes

Ensure you have the right teams in place with the right objectives to drive continued growth in your group

What You Bring


Experience as a CEO or material P&L ownership at a divisional level, ideally at a software company with meaningful growth

Prior background in either running large operations or product teams, ideally with meaningful exposure to both

Clear track record of leading operational improvements within a go-to-market function (sales, marketing, partnerships) and experience driving improvement in unit economics

Strong background in strategic/product planning to drive growth and profitability in a business or at channel level

Proven ability to motivate, develop, and grow operational teams

Mindset of a business owner that can make the right trade-offs to drive both short-term profitability and long-term growth

Experience and interest in partnerships and M&A as a growth strategy

Comfort dealing with high levels of complexity, a fast-moving culture, an appetite for risk, and integrating acquisitions a strong plus

Bachelor’s degree with an MBA and/or executive level start-up experience preferred
