Job Purpose

The Production Support Lead is responsible for leading a team of support engineers to providing day to day support of various applications in the Trade space. These applications use various technology platforms and include both custom developed and packaged software solutions. The production support lead will be required to work both independently and with our Application Development, Operations, Business Partners and some external vendors.

Responsibilities

Responsible for leading production support teams, event monitoring, incident triage, issue communication and application support coordination

Responsible for maintaining application availability, stability and reliability and enriching customer experience in the production environment by collaborating across various technical teams

Utilizing strong analytical and problem-solving skills for troubleshooting system issues and providing recommendations for most efficient and cost effective solution

Ensuring documenting of standard operating procedures with attention to detail

Must take ownership, reliability and have a sense of urgency when addressing production issues

Periodic off hours support may be required

Manage production deployments on weekends and should work with his team to ensure support for the applications

Participate and own investigation and resolution of complex problems related to supported technologies

Taking leadership in owning issue resolution and driving them to completion.

Ensuring that incident and problem management processes and procedures are followed and adhered to standards.

Monitor the application performance and provide technical support as required

Posses good domain knowledge on Trade & Trade financing

Possesses strong understanding of technical and subject matter expertise that can be leveraged to identify and resolve issues in a timely fashion

Requirements

Experience in leading & supporting large-scale production systems

Knowledge in application development and IT processes such as SDLC, ITIL, Iterative and, Agile a plus

Very clear communication skills both written and oral

Able to drive/recommend solutions to extended technology teams.

Self-starter with excellent crisis management skills.

Able to lead and facilitate meetings, to lead the technical team in driving investigation of incidents and corrective actions follow-ups 

Strong technical knowledge of AIX, Web Sphere, Oracle, MQ, SQL, Shell scripting 

Knowledge of JBOSS, MariaDB & KAFKA will be an advantage
