What we need:

Mohawk is looking for a Vice President, Brand Experience who will direct all Residential Master Brand strategies and all Sub-Brand positioning and drive go to market strategy for Mohawk Flooring North America.

The Vice President, Brand Experience will work across all business units and channels to ensure that the brands successfully maintain their position with increasing equity among all stakeholders. The role is also accountable for ensuring the successful expansion into new segments within our markets and for the delivery and sustainment of a unified brand experience across in-store, online, through events and training, and in media & trade communications.

Brands supported by this role will include the Mohawk, Pergo, & Karastan Master Brands, Quick-Step, and Godfrey Hirst category brands and the sub-brand line architecture (RevWood, Solidtech, SmartStrand, etc.).

What you’ll do:

  • Consult with stakeholders across business unit leadership, product management and sales to target strategic brand direction

  • Craft and oversee execution of brand strategy, architecture, portfolio, standards and guidelines, market positioning, etc. of Master Brands and Product line/Sub-Brands

  • Collaborate with all Centers of Excellence to ensure creative campaigns and communications are “on brand”

  • Consult with sales, product development and product management on product branding strategies and in-product implementation and to ensure brand leverage across channels, utilizing cross channel strategies to enhance brand equity and awareness  

  • Drive initiatives and activities that improve our ROI for marketing initiatives, including cross-market and E-Comm opportunities to improve effectiveness and response to marketing activities/campaigns

  • Lead cross-market team (SBU’s, Product, Sales, Marketing COE’s) in all brand/sub-brand management decisions

  • Coordinate with channel marketing teams on campaigns and outbound marketing programs

What you have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing or related field required

  • MBA (preferred)

  • 10-15 years of applicable work experience that includes knowledge of marketing concepts and business operating procedures

  • Experience in brand management that includes planning, budgeting, financial management analysis, and reporting

  • Inspiring, developing and engaging a high-performance team, advising them to take calculated risks and create ways to stimulate new ideas within the organization

  • Achieving results through team efforts, challenging established practices and drawing relevant conclusions 

  • Creating a vision of the future need of the business from an internal, sales support and customer support viewpoint, and transforming this vision into goals and work plans for the marketing team to achieve

  • Honing your ability to persuade, market and sell new ideas based on culture, audience and business needs 

  • Communicating and negotiating effectively with a wide range of internal and external individuals in written, oral and interpersonal form 

  • Diffusing conflict using appropriate interpersonal styles and methods while maintaining professionalism and adhering to corporate standards 

  • Exercising independent judgment and demonstrating solid time management and organizational skills, including the ability to meet tight deadlines and schedules

  • Expect to travel approximately 10% for trade shows, customer visitation, etc.
