58 people have viewed this jobRimini Street is growing rapidly globally, with double-digit annual growth in new business and revenue.The VP, Chief of Staff, COO will assist the Chief Operating Officer in leading global field operations covering Pre-Sales, Sales, Post-Sales Account Management and other functions including Field Marketing and Service Delivery.The VP, Chief of Staff, at the direction of the COO, will coordinate global activities, carry out projects and initiatives that cut across groups and functions, and frame business and operational issues to maintain momentum and execution of top priorities.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Assist the COO in carrying out leadership of global field operations, meeting financial and business goals
Organize for efficient use of time
Organize staff meetings, monthly and quarterly reviews, team meetings/offsites
Create agendas, create templates, prep presenters, review presentations for content and clarity
Prepare executive communications and presentation materials for C-level and Board of Directors meetings
Help execute operating cadence - weekly, quarterly and annual cycle
Participate in annual planning, with interlock across Sales, Products, Finance and Marketing
Drive projects and initiatives
Assist with projects that need added focus, supplement bandwidth of specific groups or functions as needed
Drive initiatives that cut across geographies, functions and teams
Work off-line to overcome hurdles and objections, maintain momentum and execution of top priorities
Coordinate special projects – partnerships, investments, legal matters
Serve as key point of contact for outside consultants engaged on projects
Provide analysis and insights, framing and guidance on key issues
Provide data, metrics and analysis on operations under the COO’s team
Add insights to analytics to frame business and operational issues for executive decision-makers
Be a trusted resource and sounding board for the COO, to discuss issues, test ideas, and explore options
Conduct annual analysis of global field operations to inform strategic direction and investment choices
Establish the practice of completed staff work to more efficiently make decisions that stick, and close issues faster
Qualifications/Skills/Experience
Location
San Francisco Bay Area, CA preferred or remote US
Education
Bachelor's degree or equivalent required, Masters or MBA desirable.
Experience
A successful track record in a similar role as Chief of Staff or head of Business Operations for a senior executive in companies with at least $300 million in annual revenue.
Experience leading Business Operations or Sales Operations teams in Enterprise software companies
Experience in staff roles for C-level leaders of customer-facing functions (Sales, Marketing, Account Management).
Prefer experience in high-growth software or software-related services businesses.
Direct experience in line jobs across multiple functions and disciplines, especially Sales, Marketing and Finance
Direct experience in customer-facing roles in Sales organizations, post-sales Account Management, Marketing or Service Delivery
Experience with both new business/new customer acquisition and recurring revenue streams/renewals
Proven track record of driving strong business, sales and client satisfaction results against target plans.
Participation in management teams overseeing global activities and hundreds of employees
Experience with and understanding of business financials and P&Ls
Participation in annual planning cycles and budget processes
Experience with market and financial analysis to frame and recommend investment decisions
Experience with organizational transformations and change management
Qualifications and Skills
Build relationships, establish trust and rapport with senior execs across groups and around the world.
Proven business judgement and acumen to help outline options and recommend solutions for the COO.
Strong analytical skills and judgement to use numbers/analysis to address complex business issues.
Ability to influence other leaders and peers without having direct authority
Problem-solving skills including finding alternative paths to resolving conflict and achieving goals
Proven high integrity, professionalism, maturity and discretion to handle and manage the full scope of highly sensitive, confidential and non-public information that is dealt with by the Office of COO.
A team player that takes a collaborative approach to tackling issues and problem-solving.
Ability to work with a wide range of people from around the world, with different styles and viewpoints in both collaborative and competitive situations.
Excellent communication skills - verbal, written and in presentations
Ability to up-level all communications to be appropriate for senior executive audiences including the Board of Directors and C-level leaders
Flexibility to adapt to a rapidly changing environment and prioritize work to meet multiple business and organizational goals
