The Vice President of Corporate Communications and Thought Leadership is responsible for iCIMS’ internal and external communications globally. This leader will oversee a team of professionals responsible for public relations, analyst relations, internal communications, executive communications, strategic communications, social media and thought leadership in a fast-growing cloud technology company based in Holmdel, New Jersey. This position requires a results-driven, dynamic leader to work closely with multiple internal stakeholders, business leaders, and the Executive team. You’ll be responsible for managing all corporate communication activities across various channels, as well as expanding our thought leadership platform to drive media and analyst coverage, executive engagement, and sales. This position reports to the CMO.


Position will be based in Denver / Remote.

Responsibilities


Strategy/Thought Leadership


Establish and lead strategic communication plans to achieve corporate objectives around sales, demand generation, communications, and brand.

Design and execute iCIMS’ annual media and analyst relations programs including content, briefing schedule, relevant events, agency relationship(s) and budget.

Drive iCIMS’ earned media program across trade, business and IT publications to maximize iCIMS’ share of voice and brand recognition

Develop and execute a comprehensive thought leadership program – driving multi-channel integrated engagements for a variety of audiences including C-Suite, HR Executives and strategic partnerships/accounts

Partner with data science, sales enablement, marketing, and agencies to maximize thought leadership content quality for executive and media audiences, as well as message cadence, distribution channels, etc.

Lead strategic communications including M&A, strategic partnerships, change management, crisis communications and marquee communication assets

Partner with Chief of Staff on key executive communications

Oversee internal communication plans to ensure a consistent brand and message is shared with internal stakeholders including employees, the Board, etc. 

Manage and guide key stakeholders regarding internal communication timelines and content

Lead the development of all public relations, analyst relations, social media and internal communications activities 


Team Leadership


Lead and motivate the Corporate Communications and Thought Leadership functions to ensure that strategies/objectives are met

Establish metrics, measurement, and KPIs for individuals (i.e., goals) and teams (i.e., FTE/PT by function).

Maintain a high-performance team and work environment enabling operational objectives and retention/alignment of people resources to fulfill team objectives successfully 

Lead and mentor both direct and indirect reports with the goal of improving their professional expertise to better serve business initiatives 

Work effectively as a team member with other members of leadership 

Manage team members’ performance including formal reviews, establishing departmental and individual objectives and performing applicable assessments.  

Makes recommendations for organizational and/or process improvements and proactively plans for, organizes and delivers well thought out and executed change management programs.

Ensure appropriate resource allocation to deliver expected deliverables  


Qualifications


15+ years in senior level corporate communication, PR and/or strategy role; Experience in the HR/ HCM software market desired.

8+ years directing a corporate communication function and marketing teams

Demonstrated success developing and executing thought leadership initiatives in support of organizational strategies.

Ability to communicate and influence cross-functionally with the Executive Team, management peers, and internal and external customers

Track record of successfully working with a broad marketing mix of integrated approaches (social, public relations, digital, etc.)

Strong articulator of ideas and promoting data heavy content in a meaningful way

Proven ability to influence, work with, and lead cross-functional teams (both internal and external) to successfully achieve business goals.

Demonstrated analytic and strategic leadership delivered with pragmatic and metrics driven execution.

Positive, collaborative, inclusive, and inspirational leadership style, modeling iCIMS core competencies

BS/BA in Marketing, Business or related field required; MBA desired.
