This role will report to the Chief Credit Officer for Fiserv. The candidate will be part of the Credit Risk Leadership team and will be based in the US.

The role will be responsible for leading a team of Corporate Credit Officers as well as a number of key critical initiatives covering the Credit risk function including the Client Lifecycle & Experience, Process Improvement across functions and Client Stakeholder Management.

Deliverables & Responsibilities

Lead North American Corporate Underwriting across numerous channels (including Fiserv Direct, Joint Ventures, Partnerships)

Hire and develop talent ensuring continued growth of capability within team

Support and present high exposure deals to Chief Credit Officer and Credit Committee

Support Legal team in contract negotiation with active direct Merchant negotiation on credit terms

Ensure the highest level of partnering with SVP Sales & Sales team, Bank Partners and other Fiserv functions

Build strong senior relationships within Fiserv Credit Risk, Fraud, Legal, Collections and Compliance organizations to ensure strategic alignment across Risk functions. Foster and develop a ‘One-Team’ culture within Credit Risk and all supporting functions.

Develop and actively improve an enhanced operating model covering the entire Client lifecycle within Credit Risk to improve:

Risk Mitigation

Account activation

Client satisfaction & retention

Speed to revenue

Continuous process enhancement

Ability to expand to new product sets (e.g. Biller)

Support all key initiatives, including:

Concentration Risk assessment

New product launches/deployment,

Partner and Sales channel activity

Technology, Tools and systems to enhance efficiency

Basic Qualifications for Consideration:

Ten or more years of credit risk experience, preferably within merchant acquiring.

A bachelor’s degree from an accredited university

Prior leadership experience having successfully led & developed teams to deliver high performance and maximize productivity

Previous operational/process management experience

Experience in developing, implementing and monitoring a comprehensive compliance management system

Preferred Skills and Experience

Strong communication & relationship skills

Adept at making decisions, evaluating options and considering consequences

Ability to operate and communicate at all levels
