The VP, Data Management Shared Services is responsible for building, operating and evolving industry-leading data shared services across TR.They will engage across all parts of the business to provide shared capabilities in data quality measurement, metadata, lineage, test data, and third-party data management domains. They are responsible for implementing cost effective services that deliver measurable value and year-on-year productivity improvements.


Responsibilities:


Work collaboratively with all parts of TR to drive a data-driven culture

Design, implement, operate and evolve the teams, processes and tooling that provide shared data services across the company:


Master Data Management

Data Quality measurement

Metadata Management

Lineage Management

Test Data Management

3rd Party Data Management


Implement self-service capabilities with automated controls

Actively track and report progress to senior stakeholders on progress and value delivered.

Responsible for setting the strategic direction and executing the roadmap for Master Data, Metadata, Lineage and Data Quality capabilities across all of TR

Implement training and certification programs for shared service teams and business partners.

Ensure D&A is a diverse and inclusive organisation.

Meet Financial Plan targets; drive productivity improvements (e.g. cost/unit reductions)


This role will partner across the TR Data & Analytics organization to:


Implement master data, data quality measurement, metadata tagging and lineage/provenance practices (with the Data & Model Governance team)

Set policies and standards related to data quality, metadata and lineage (with the Data & Model Governance team)

Deliver on Change Program capabilities


Education and Experience:


Bachelor’s degree in computer science, business, library sciences or equivalent experience

A minimum of 10 years of experience in data governance or data management operations

Prior experience working in a large, geographically dispersed organization.

Experience leading and developing highly effective teams

10+ years of software development or process leadership and/or executive positions

Extensive experience creating and executing data management strategy and related technical roadmaps 

Ability to understand, evaluate and discuss technical integration scenarios and architectural concepts 

Experience with Agile methodologies and understanding of modern web/SaaS technologies and systems 

Experience presenting strategy and operational updates to senior executives

Experience in driving large-scale change across a global organization

Strong organization, analytical and problem-solving skills with an end-user focus

Ability to prioritize, self-initiate, and create momentum, even with partial guidance or information

Exceptionally strong verbal and written communication skills with ability to effectively communicate updates and desired outcomes in a succinct manner
