This leader will work closely side-by-side with the senior leaders and have a very visible role within the company. As a result, the Vice President will possess a high level of intellectual horsepower and political gravitas that gains him/her immediate credibility. This VP will be able to convey complex materials to senior executives with exceptional verbal and written communication skills and have a strong executive presence.

A veteran in the world of strategy and consulting, the ideal candidate possesses deep familiarity and hands-on experience within financial services. This leader will be responsible for driving and delivering detailed work on key corporate-level strategic issues that will include both assessments of new opportunities for the corporation and the evaluation of current businesses. He/she possesses an indisputable work ethic with a hands-on approach defined by a strong intellect, professional charisma, leadership skills, resiliency, and a track record of proven results in enterprise strategy and business consulting across the world of financial services. A seasoned strategy professional familiar with large, multi-faceted organizations, the Vice President of Enterprise Strategy possesses experience in a corporate setting for a Fortune 500 company and/or top-tier consultancy, complemented by work within the field of financial services, preferably banking. He/she will have broad exposure to the business and understand a client view across a banking organization. Additionally, he/she will bring a familiarity with financial statements and how different parts of the bank’s balance sheets and income statements work together to impact financial metrics.


Basic Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree

Ten-plus years of experience with a demonstrated track record of experience in the following business skills:

Leading high-profile, cross-functional strategic initiatives, from both process management and thought leadership perspectives

Solving complex business problems using a multi-disciplined, analytical, and fact-based approaches

High level of intellectual curiosity and persistence, sound business judgment, strong analytical skills, fact-based and pragmatic approach, and high level of intellectual and ethical courage

Skill to communicate effectively in business contexts, both orally (speaking well and listening well) and in writing, to both senior and more junior audiences

Capability to build effective working relationships at all levels of an organization, as well as leverage those relationships to influence business decisions and outcomes

Ability to manage and supervise the work of others up, down, and across the organization, including both direct reports and others involved in an initiative on a virtual or matrixed basis

Experience at a top-tier management consulting firm

Five-plus years of management experience

Ability to manage several projects concurrently

Preferred Qualifications

MBA or similar advanced degree from top-tier institution

Experience in the payments or financial services
