In this role, you will be responsible for identifying, managing, and closing government procurement contract opportunities for Matterport.You will launch and lead our government procurement efforts primarily at the federal level, focusing on Civil, DoD, and Intelligence agencies.This includes managing all operations within the Federal space, including revenue, P&L, and business operations.  


You will be responsible for leading the overall revenue function for Federal, State, and Local government.Overall responsibility for defining the strategic vision, thought leadership, and robust account and people management for Matterport’s sales team to drive accelerated new business and revenue growth. 


Responsibilities


Expand sales with procurement agencies and departments with state and selective local governments

Devise and execute successful strategies that sell the company's products and solutions to the government customer base

Collaborate with applicable business units' sales organizations to drive value and revenue growth with federal and selective state and local government customers

Support related international business opportunities that may develop as a result of federal agency relationships

Enhance Matterport's presence and brand recognition with government entities by establishing influential relationships with key stakeholders

Responsible and accountable for short and long-term revenue growth, profitability, and retention for the company's federal, state, and local government customers

Develop Matterport's go-to-market strategy for government procurement, and provide leadership to achieve a differentiated value advantage related to federal, state, and select local governments marketplaces

Implement Matterport's sales and customer relationship management best practices in the government marketplace

Maintain a thorough understanding of federal government procurement needs and provides corresponding input to Matterport’s existing and new product and services development

Develop and maintain relationships with key decision makers and other stakeholders in the government marketplace

Work collaboratively with senior leaders and functional areas to create cohesion of effort in interactions with government entities to advance procurements


Requirements


Bachelor’s degree in a related field

Master’s degree in Business preferred

15+ years in government sales or related experience, with track record of success securing government contracts particularly with DoD, Intelligence, and/or related agencies

10+ years of sales management and business development experience

Experience working within a high growth global SaaS environment required

Proven track record of supporting rapid revenue and organizational growth, particularly as a revenue/sales executive in the US Federal Government sector

Familiarity with government bid and contracting regulations, including the Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) and similar regulations

Proven ability to develop and lead high-performance teams

Must be data driven; solid analytical skills and ability to apply market research concepts and methodologies to decisions

Excellent planning, organizing and leadership skills

Able to work across multi-functions/multi-individuals to achieve desired results
