The VP GM is accountable for each Business Unit within the cluster delivering to the agreed goals of business / programme within the portfolio.
Financial accountability for all Business Units in Cluster. Responsible for maximising the profitability through effective management of Cluster finances and allocation of resources.
Drives delivery of each Business Unit to meet or exceed customer requirements.Where Business Units are off-track, takes responsibility to lead the Business Unit team through recovery planning, communicating effectively with Operations at all times.
Partners with the CTO and BD on developing the product portfolio for existing customers.
Accountable for defining and delivering to the commercial contract specifications with the customer.
Accountable for driving collaboration and open communication with Operations.
Owns the NPI process and the relationship with Operations to ensure programmes are set up with robust and repeatable manufacturing processes within the value streams.
Partners with BD on RRSP contracts, potential new business opportunities and managing the customer relationship in an appropriate way.
Implement and ensure alignment of program management infrastructure and process across the Cluster
Accountable for driving a culture across operations that is aligned to the GKN DNA.
Accountable for driving employee engagement across the operations organization through promoting great leadership and partnering with HR.
Complete key job requirements and other tasks related to this position as assigned by management.
Provides leadership and direction with emphasis on team building through effective communications, in developing an efficient organizational structure that is responsive to strategic program requirements and changes.Must work effectively across Aerospace to ensure open communications.

Prepares and conducts regular employee performance and development reviews with each member of the staff, at least on a quarterly basis.
