Lead the Firm Services Team.Build and manage relations with leaders from all sizes of CPA firms and firm networks/associations, promote awareness of firms’ capabilities, provide solutions in collaboration with other Association teams, support firm practice management initiatives and advocate for firms’ success.
Accountabilities & Responsibilities:
Develop and execute the strategic plan to support CPA firms, including value proposition and experience.
Maintain deep understanding of small, medium and large CPA firm challenges and opportunities.
Collect, analyze and disseminate firm intelligence to support the development of firm-related solutions.
Drive development and implementation of practical tools for new firm service areas and firm practice management.
Oversee development of the strategies around CPA firm-related diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI), women’s initiatives and young CPA support.
Provide leadership, strategy and support for the activities of the Private Companies Practice Section (PCPS) Executive Committee, Women’s Initiatives Executive Committee (WIEC), National Commission on Diversity & Inclusion (NCDI), Professional Liability Insurance Program (PLIP) Committee, Life Insurance & Disability Committee, Retirement Program Committee, Young Members Leadership Committee, Technical Issues Committee, Center for Plain English Accounting (CPEA), Major Firms Group (MFG) and G400.
Advocate internally and externally for CPA firm success.
Present to firms and firm-related groups on key profession and organizational activities.
Facilitated executive retreats and consultative firm solutions.
Key liaison to outside interests such as firm consultants and firm association executives.
Key liaison to leadership of Aon, Prudential and CNA to support insurance programs.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Required:

Required Experience, Qualifications & Education:
CPA required, CGMA a plus
Must have worked in a leadership capacity at a CPA firm, preferably [or notably] at the partner level
Deep understanding of the management and operation of CPA firms
Experience serving CPA firm clients, in a service, leadership and relationship manner
Experience providing successful strategic direction to businesses, preferably CPA firms
Knowledge of current and emerging profession trends
