The VP of FP&A works closely with the executive team and business leaders across Porch to manage, shape, and grow the business.This role identifies financial and business trends, internally and externally and leverages them to help set the strategic direction for the company.
What You Will Do
Build and manage company budget and forecast models for the P&L, balance sheet, and cash flows.
Report financial results weekly and monthly to leadership and business stakeholders.
Lead and provide strategic direction to company-wide budget and forecasting processes.
Provide analysis and interpretation of complex financial information utilizing judgment and discretion, identifying trends, variances, and key issues while providing recommendations to leadership.
Deliver innovative, high value-added financial information and support analysis to leadership for strategic planning and decision making.
Create and present financial information for the Board of Directors.
Perform ad-hoc analysis in a variety of areas.
What You Bring
12+ years of experience in Finance and Accounting.
5+ years preparing and managing budget and forecasting processes.
Experience in developing models for Executive Level Management.
Strong excel and database skills.
Ability to spot trends, analyze data, and translate into strategic actions.
Must be driven to succeed in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment.
Excellent collaboration, verbal, and written communication skills.
CPA, MBA or relevant degree.
Experience managing small teams.
