About the role


The Global Director of Performance Marketing will be our expert in driving a strong return on investment and customer acquisition in paid channels. You will work closely with our agency platform partners and regional marketing teams to help craft regional performance strategy and execute on it. The ideal candidate will possess over 10 years of performance marketing experience and bring a balance of analytics, attention to detail, and structure, coupled with energy, passion, and the ability to influence key internal and external stakeholders. 


You will need to demonstrate deep expertise in scaling a wide variety of digital performance platforms, also managing CAC efficiency - bonus points for experience with offline channels. You will also demonstrate exceptional leadership skills by being able to inspire, drive and motivate direct reports.You will have a proven track record of scaling businesses into international markets. 


What you'll do


• Provide thought leadership and strategic recommendations to country marketing teams on how to maximize performance channels for consumer and B2B acquisition and engagement, also balancing CAC and budgetary constraints


• Have ownership of each country’s strategy execution 


• Establish global best practice measurement and reporting eg - channel attribution rules, CAC calculations, CAC guardrails


• Manage these accountabilities across 7 countries, and growing


• Lead relationships with country marketing leads to ensure strategic alignment and cohesive marketing program delivery


• Be responsible for the execution, delivery, and results of each country’s plan - manage campaign implementation, ensure all campaigns are correctly set up (tracking links & attribution), and compliant to ensure end-to-end monitoring and learning


• Manage performance agency relationships (creative, media buying, Facebook, Google, Apple) 


• Monitor channel performance and report back to regional marketing teams


• Work collaboratively across the organization, especially Product Adtech and Data teams to ensure appropriate tracking and attribution is in place and in working order


What you'll bring


• 10+ years marketing experience delivering B2B and B2C campaigns in retail/e-commerce or multi-sided marketplaces


• The ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with a "roll up your sleeves" attitude, entrepreneurial spirit, navigate through ambiguity, and balance multiple priorities


• Global leadership experience working in a business that’s expanding into new markets


• A strong track record of cross-functional leadership and partnership to influence, negotiate, gain support, resolve conflict and gain alignment across stakeholders


• Digital experience and an understanding of the ‘test and learn’ framework and how to leverage the new world of media to drive smart and cost-effective conversion


• Excellent verbal, written communication, and presentation skills, with the confidence to interact and lead others in a variety of settings


• Possess a solution mindset and have the ability to create go-to-market plans jointly with partners with an excellent handle on relationship management


• Sound project management skills are important, along with the ability to manage timelines, budgets, and project documentation


• Data-driven mindset: strong numeracy skills, comfortable dealing with large data sets to synthesize, generate insights and establish priorities
