..You, as the Vice President, Government Solutions Development will be the client facing Medecision product liaison for our growing government sector. This role requires strategic collaboration with the leader of the dedicated business unit, and have access to and be imbedded in the Medecision Product Group to ensure product strategies and solutions are synchronized.You are a customer champion who instills confidence in the existing customer base and prospects on the product vision, direction and execution for the government market.
It is the Vice President, Government Solutions Development's responsibility to identify and define business requirements to meet the specific needs of government sector customers. This will include heavy interaction to develop user groups and establish senior management and senior executive level oversight of the customer's product requirements and establish a bi-directional communications between customer and Medecision Product to influence product and services offering development.In this role, you will work closely with the aligned business unit and Medecision's product and analytics teams to coordinate product initiatives and communications in support of sector growth and profitability goals and meeting sector customer needs.

YOU’RE GOOD AT:
Managing strategic client relationships to influence and support business decisions related to product or product roadmap creation, development, positioning and marketing, in support of client requirements and account profitability and growth targets
Collaborating with product team, sector team and clients, so that product and roadmap lifecycles, from strategic definition to end-of-life planning, mirror the best interest of our government business clients and target prospects.
Consulting on or collaborating with client on all product, roadmap and application projects to meet client's expectations, including time frame, quality specifications.
Overseeing and coordinating all product, roadmap and custom enhancement initiatives and activities for a significant client or specific client group, in support of government business growth profitability goals.
Translating customer and client needs into new features and new services. Using the process of client engagement around the roadmap to upsell beneficial applications and prioritize needed enhancements, etc. within Medecision's overall product priorities.
Helping the account management team meet its upsell, retention and satisfaction goals, through active engagement with client. Developing the product strategy for client/group of clients. Monitoring trends in the marketplace and articulating and proving the value proposition for client. Providing guidance and expertise on platform processes, tools, technologies, and service improvement programs. Recording and developing solutions for complex technology, processes and integration issues, for clients.
Developing business case, business plan, product definition and specifications, product launch and life cycle management activities. Monitoring problem areas; defining or approving planned product enhancements. Gathering client requirements and setting direction for future product evolution
Bachelor’s degree required. Master’s degree in Business or Health Administration preferred.
12+ years of experience in healthcare, including in direct experience with one or more core HCIT systems and platforms such as care management, care coordination, EMR/EHR, provider/consumer portals and applications.
Substantial experience with government programs including Medicare Advantage, Medicaid fee for service and Managed Medicaid, LTSS, and CMS sponsored incentive programs (STARS, HEDIS, DSRIP, Bundles)
Must be proficient in understanding of current HCIT platforms in use to manage risk and drive overall health outcomes.
Deep understanding of the Solution/Product Roadmap and Development processes.
Ability to apply strategic thinking and direction to those processes as they pertain to client needs.
Ability to work in a virtual, matrixed organizational structure that is fast paced and dynamic.
Exceptional communication and diplomatic skills to interact with stakeholders both inside and outside the company.
Excellent negotiation skills and ability to influence others at various levels internally and externally.
