Summary:


• Responsible for the management and oversight of the home care agency, including strategic planning, business development, financial performance, marketing and adherence to regulatory issues.


• Program development aimed at increasing patient volume and continuing to provide quality state of the art service are essential components of the position.


• Promoting a supportive professional work environment for staff is required.


• Significant participation in work groups and committees supporting Virtua’s Strategic plan is essential.


• Provides overall leadership to assure the success of the agency.


Position Responsibilities:


• Oversees all home care operations and acts as a liaison between senior leadership, the staff and community.


• Responsible for implementing goals and objectives to carry out the Virtua Strategic Plan, new programs and acts as a change agent as appropriate.


• Understands and leverages financial information for the sustained operational viability and improvement to the organization.


• Creates commitment and ownership, encourages responsibility, helps others to set proper goals and priorities, delegates with clear expectations. Maintains a high degree of excellence and strives to improve self, staff and area at all times.


• Ensures employees understand what is expected of them relative to excellent customer service for both internal and external customers.


• Responds to customer complaints/requests immediately. Develops employee excellence through recruitment, retention, training, and motivation and reward programs.


• Manages leadership team while ensuring all Human Resources and Departmental policies are consistently reinforced and equitably followed.


• Fosters positive communication and develops effective relationships throughout the organization and within the community.


Position Qualifications Required / Experience Required:


• Must have a minimum of 7 years progressive leadership experience in home health or hospital administation.


• Must have a thorough knowledge of home care concepts.


• Demonstrates management skills as well as good communication and interpersonal skills.


Required Education:


• Master’s degree in health administration or related field.
