The Vice President, International Sales & Marketing will be responsible for developing the company’s international business development strategy for Conformis patient specific implants and instrumentation.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Develop Global Market Entrance Strategy, identify priority of entry based on positive market factors
Develop and execute market entrance activity related to the Global Strategy
Develop and implement sales strategies and budgets for the International Market
Meet or exceed all established international sales goals
Develop and maintain customer relationships; educate Physicians and office/hospital/surgery staff on Conformis projects
Build the market for Conformis products through the development of public awareness; build and maintain close relationships with KOLs, Private Clinics, and Physicians
Investigate sales and distribution channel options and subsequently develop a distribution network through the build out and development of relationships with existing and potential clients
Carry out product launches and provide sound recommendations on local product portfolios
Achieve both short term and long term business goals and sales objectives
Identify trends and opportunities in the market and assure optimal sales penetration
Partner with the Conformis Marketing team to define the company’s marketing strategy and drive execution of the marketing strategy through tactics and programs that support both the adoption and revenue growth of Conformis product lines
Successfully pass and keep current on Conformis products, surgical techniques, and other required training
Participate in Surgeon Visit Programs as required by the company
Manage, train, and supervise sales team when needed, motivating employees in order to maximize the efficiency of the sales force and utilize their abilities as well as ensure their growth
Continually provide vision and clarity to drive commitment with collaborative behaviors required as a member of a cohesive senior management team to manage and grow the company
Other responsibilities as assigned.
A Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Biology, Biomedical Engineering or other applicable field. MBA preferred.
15+ years in international sales, preferably in both European and Asian markets, within the orthopedics medical device industry with specific expertise in joint replacement products
Comfortable driving multiple initiatives at a rapid pace, and making thoughtful recommendations with available data.
Active, effective communicator who drives a company vision/mission to align teams, critical resources, management, and stakeholders.
5-10 years of previous experience in a management role.

Ability to travel up to 50%, both domestically and internationally as needed
