WHO WE’RE LOOKING FOR:
BARK is seeking an experienced investor relations leader to serve as the company’s point of contact for investors, sell-side analysts, and other related external stakeholders.This person will also help coordinate internal supporting resources for the purposes of investor relations including finance, accounting, press relations, and external investor relations firm.The ideal candidate is a skilled finance professional who is as comfortable building and explaining financial models and scripting CEO’s, as they are discussing dog play styles.The Vice President of Investor Relations reports directly to the CFO and will work closely with CEO as well.
Act as BARK’s spokesperson to the financial community to position BARK’s market opportunity, performance, and strategy for both existing and prospective shareholders.
Lead internal and external investor relations activities building and maintaining relationships with key partners.
Partner with FP&A, accounting, and management team leaders to develop BARK’s financial story.
Develop strategies to keep the financial community engaged in the BARK story, current on company performance and industry trends.
Advise company management about financial and industry trends as well as shareholder concerns.
Collaborate with internal and external PR and brand marketing teams on business communications.
Maintain Investor Relations external website.
Prepare materials for quarterly earnings announcements as well as special events *8-k’s).
Help draft “scripts” and coordinate pre-recorded releases.
SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:
12+ years of experience working in public investor relations, financial analysis, or related fields.
Degree in Finance or related field, CFA or MBA a plus.
Strong financial and investment analysis capabilities including experience with financial modeling.
Clear communicator; able to convey complex financial information in brand-aligned ways.
Experience in investment banking, equity research, or financial consulting required. Previous investor relations experience preferred.
Experience working with a subscription model business is ideal.
Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
Must love dogs.
