The Vice President Loan Operations Manager is responsible to ensure the loan documentation, processing and servicing departments have efficiently and accurately processed, perfected and maintained loan documentation for all consumer, agriculture and commercial areas of the bank. This position is responsible for establishing processes, procedures and expectations that lead to the upmost level of completeness and accuracy within our loan processes and supporting documentation. The VP/Loan Operations Manager leads a high performance culture by creating a work environment that supports engagement, innovation, creativity, and teamwork, consistent with the organization’s vision, core values, and team guidelines.
Duties and Responsibilities
Team Leadership - Establish clear goals for the loan operations teams. Coach team members for continuous improvement. Encourage team members to seek efficiencies and improvement in processes. Foster clear and transparent communication within the team along with service partners within the company. Build strong internal relationships to ensure strong understanding of what other departments and teams need and require in order to meet goals of departments and Western as a whole.
Loan Operations Management - Manage consumer, agriculture and commercial loan processing, documentation, servicing and retention processes. Lead the loan teams in continuously striving to identify efficiencies within processes, procedures and utilization of systems. Ensure when improvements or updates are identified, the proper education and training is provided for rollout. Manage the complete operational life-cycle of loans, ensuring accuracy and completeness throughout all aspects.
System Utilization - Identify and interpret system needs within the loan operation areas. Test available systems for full utilization options. Educate team members on process and/or system updates. Assist with system upgrades and rollouts.
Project Management, Input and Other Responsibilities - Lead projects in relation to the Loan Operations area. Serve as the subject matter expert on projects throughout the organization. Interpret needs of areas and identify processes within the loan operations area to support those needs. Lead and/or assist on other responsibilities and duties as needed.
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting or related field required with a minimum of ten years banking experience. Five years of supervisory experience strongly preferred.
