Our Capital Markets business is an established derivatives dealer with a broad product portfolio, with specific emphasis on interest rates and foreign exchange.We have been in operation for more than 30 years and is a leading market-maker in several markets.
Our Capital Markets Confirmations team is looking to hire a VP Manager focusing on Swaps Documentation.
Manage the day to day responsibilities of the transaction documentation team supporting our Rates and Currency Derivatives business.
Ensure that confirmations are generated in a timely manner to meet the requirements of Dodd Frank and EMIR Regulations.
Ensure that confirmations are correctly drafted by staff according to details in the deal tickets, term sheets and the internal database.Ensure that Collateral Assignments, Legal opinions and Guarantees required for certain transactions are reviewed by staff and acceptable to the Department’s standards, signed and returned to clients in a timely manner. Ensure that all workflow Queues are properly managed by staff.
Work with Transaction Management and Front Office personnel on any non-standard documentation language that may be required for certain clients.
Liaise with the various client Financial Advisers to ensure that they are satisfied with the process and issues are addressed in a timely manner.
Ensure that exception reports showing outstanding confirms are generated and that staff is appropriately following up on open items.
Keep abreast of changes in industry regulations and make necessary changes to procedures and templates in consultation with managers, Transaction Management and Front Office.
Establish a supervisory checklist to ensure that all tasks that are due to be performed during the course of the day are completed.Keep the department manager informed of any issues that may arise and report regularly on the general performance of the group.
Develop and cross-train team members to effectively manage daily operations, provide
coverage, and to participate in Treasury initiatives and projects. Manage the team direction and productivity by establishing clear goals and objectives, setting priorities, providing guidelines and recommendations for approach to ensure team success. Establish benchmarks and performance milestones for measuring tangible results.
Four-Year College Degree (BA or BS) in Finance or a related degree·
5+ years of proven supervisory experience in an OTC derivatives documentation position
In-depth understanding of Interest Rate Swap products and the ISDA confirmation templates associated with them
Sound knowledge of the 2006 ISDA Definitions and other related publications from ISDA
