We have an immediate opening for a Vice President, Manufacturing Operations, Mexico, with responsibility to lead multiple manufacturing facilities located in Mexico.The right candidate for this role oversees high volume production facilities engaged in hose construction and belt construction, coupled hose assemblies, engine products components and associated process support to meet manufacturing demand for the Mexico and North America markets.Based at either our Toluca or Cohisa locations and reporting to the Vice President of Operations for the Americas, this role is expected to lead the safe and efficient production of high quality Gates products across our Mexico production facilities. This position oversees the plant directors/managers at each Gates location and is part of the Americas Operations Leadership team.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Execute the plan for the future state of the manufacturing operations in Mexico and lead the organization in the implementation/execution of that plan

Successfully communicate strategy and results to senior executives as well as the people within the business unit

Evaluate and determine key investments in equipment, infrastructure and talent

Provide a safe workplace environment by enforcing all safety regulations, policies, rules and procedures

Utilizing the principles of the Gates Production System (GPS) produce product that meets or exceeds Gates and customer's expectations for a quality product at an expectedcost

Develop a superior workforce that emphasizes safety, quality, continuous improvement, high performance and employee retention

Champion GPS inside Gates and with vendors

Work collaboratively with corporate department heads regarding manufacturing in all facilities


EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS:


Bachelor"s degree in business or engineering related field required; MBA or Master's degree preferred

Minimum of 15 years of multi-plant managerial experience leading manufacturing and operations teams

Experience in both Union and non-Union environments

Expertise in plant automation/robotics and/or experience in automating plan operations


ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:

Advanced knowledge of lean manufacturing systems processes, products, and customers

Strong commitment to safety and a track record of continuously improving safety in operations

Demonstrated ability to effectively lead cross-functional teams

Excellent oral, presentation, written and listening skills including multi lingual (Spanish, English)

Commitment to building a culture accountable to serving customers with urgency to meet or exceed expectations

Track record of and commitment to doing things the right way

Ability to coach, mentor and develop talent within the company

Demonstrated successful change management experience

The ability to convey a compelling vision to all levels of the organization to accomplish cultural improvements which are sustainable and people oriented

Proven ability to successfully develop and implement systems and processes which deliver on quality, customer satisfaction, efficiency and safety goals

Strong business and financial acumen


WORK ENVIRONMENT:

World Class Manufacturing facilities engaged in high volume manufacturing and manufacturing support processes


PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Plant: Move minimum of 30lbs., spatial awareness/depth perception, walk, climb, bend at the waist, reach, forceful use of hand tools, vocal projection

Ability to travel up to 60%
