The VP, Market Development is an Executive Sales Leadership position responsible for generating, implementing and managing strategic initiatives in an assigned market (GEO) to increase revenue through direct new sales to the long-term post-acute organizations. The VP will manage their respective strategic market’s new business sales teams. They are responsible to establish and maintain high-level professional relationships with key decision-makers, oversee the implementation of sales and marketing strategies, and drive revenues to achieve sales objectives. Additional responsibilities include appropriate coordination between sales, marketing, contract administration, and operations.This role reports to the SVP Enterprise Solutions and Sales. 

As our VP of Market Development, you will: 

Manage the Texas “GEO” Sales Team

Actively work with sales teams to set and execute the appropriate sales strategy using Miller Heiman Strategic Selling process

Responsible to build and maintain a pipeline of $30M+

Responsible for driving all GEO related activities to achieve assigned quota

Partner with VP of Marketing to ensure GEO Marketing Strategy is successfully implemented

Build, mentor and motivate sales team to achieve assigned new business goals

Create and maintain a culture of success

Manage the sales teams, operations and resources to deliver profitable growth

Successfully manage expense budgets

Provide detailed and accurate sales forecasting and reporting

Monitor customer, market and competitor activity and provide feedback to company leadership team and other company functions

Establish and maintain relationships with key area healthcare executives and professionals in the market

Attend and coordinate several industry Trade Shows 

Participate in professional societies and activities related to the health care industry, as appropriate

Skills and Experience needed for the VP of Market Development position: 

A Bachelor’s Degree; MBA preferred

8-10+ years of experience in healthcare software sales is required

Strategic Selling, Challenger Sale, and Solution Selling principles

Experience in SaaS software sales to the long-term care industry and/or a high-level consultative healthcare product and/or service sales experience is preferred

Solid track record managing and building highly performing sales teams

Successful experience building a go-to-market strategy and corporate sales plan

Successful experience building and growing a qualified pipeline

Successful experience closing enterprise software solutions

Successful experience utilizing a CRM to manage team sales tasks, pipeline, and closing data

Successful experience hiring and onboarding sales representatives

Strong high-level communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills

Effective sales management and organizational skills

Self-­motivated and ability to work with minimal supervision

Results oriented, team player

Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills

Computer literate in, MS Windows, MS Word, MS Excel and MS PowerPoint

Must be located in the greater Dallas-Fort Worth area
