Understanding of the basic concepts of product management, marketing and go-to-market, product development and product delivery, including experience managing a team of product managers and product marketers
Drive product life cycle analysis and determines life cycle position and value to company.
Drive strategy and product plans based on results.Develops business plans and product line plans based on life cycle and market analysis, historical financial performance and competitive analysis.Works with Accounting/Finance, providing input to analysis regarding return on investment and profitability analysis.
Provide business planning guidance and counsel to senior management to support overall company objectives and communicates with other internal groups including engineering, technical communications, corporate communications, and customer service regarding product and market planning.
Foster a culture of innovation and team, delivering best-in-class product solutions that solve real consumer issues.
Be the expert and evangelist for consumer-first product innovation across the organization.Be passionate about being consumer-centric in the way we ideate, design, test and deliver products and experiences.
Maintain the product roadmap, and clearly communicate goals, roles, responsibilities and desired outcomes throughout the company.
Guide and nurture a team of up and coming leaders to own their product P&L, lifecycle, understand consumer insights, and use research and analytics to help influence consumer solutions and experiences.
Engage senior leaders and executives in clearly articulating the customer and product experience vision, desired functionality, and measures of success.
5+ years as VP of Product Management or similar experience.
10+ years of product management experience.
E-commerce, retail, telecom or similar experience in a fast paced, ROI-focused environment is a plus.
Strategic thinker with the ability to motivate leaders across the organization and lead a high performing team.
Strong sense of analytics, exceptional oral and written communication skills, and a demonstrated ability to engage in and present to senior leadership.
Demonstrated experience in gathering and transforming product requirements into an actionable product roadmap.
Proven ability to partner with an Experience design team to deliver exceptional products and user experiences.
History of leveraging agile methodologies to partner with engineering and IT leaders to deliver the product roadmap is a plus.
Ability to multi-task, handle pressure and meet deadlines in a fast paced entrepreneurial environment without a lot of direction or oversight.
College degree required.
