Building disruptive, cutting edge imagery products requires solid experience in software engineering to support rapid growth and technology adoptions in a highly reliable, efficient and secure environment. We’re on the hunt for an experienced software engineering executive who is a recognized leader in best practices and processes for software engineering and is capable of the change management required when scaling Agile development teams.


Reporting to the CTO, you will be on a team of the best of the best, delivering ground-breaking intelligent software products, with the support of a strong and growing core business. In this role of Vice President of Quality Assurance, you’ll lead the global Quality Engineering team and own the strategy to ensure that quality is driven into all aspects of EagleView’s end to end platforms, enterprise applications and its many components. The right person for this role will serve as the quality champion ensuring all components come together in a way that meets the high bar that our customers demand.


You will be setting the QA team's technical vision and roadmap and developing and tracking project schedules. You’ll work on building a quality driven engineering culture that helps ship products rapidly and with strong confidence. Also, you will drive the quality for our products and features and assess risks to ensure that we are shipping features with a high quality bar. Primary Responsibilities


Define, strategize and improve the QA strategy and blueprint that aligns with our business objectives. Identify, compare, select and implement technology solutions that meet current and future needs for EagleView’s enterprise applications & platform software systems.

Define our testing architecture and best practices.

Inspect and coach engineering teams on testing capability development.

Lead the quality engineering organization which is distributed across geographies. Hire outstanding quality engineers, retain top-talent, and build inclusive and healthy teams.

Evolve the organizational design of the QA team to best meet the needs of our Product and Engineering roadmaps.

Devise testing strategies to validate integrated program deliverables and meet product acceptance criteria.

Standardize quality processes including test plan development, test documentation, test metrics, monitoring, and reporting and implement measurements to determine test effectiveness, testing efficiency, and measure the overall quality of the release.

Partner with Product, Design, and Engineering to define quality criteria and metrics. Champion continuous improvement efforts and defect reduction initiatives to deliver the zero-defect and highest quality experience possible for our customers.

Partner with engineering and infrastructure teams to leverage automation for scalable solutions to prevent regressions and ensure the reliability of our products.

Conduct testing cycles for each integrated program delivery.

Promote a culture of quality across EagleView. Everyone has a part to play in delivering high quality experiences to our customers and you will champion this mindset and serve as the thought leader for the company.

Help tackle cross-platform engineering challenges and contribute creative ideas to the improve quality.

Implement test automations to continuously increase scale of testing activity with steady investment levels


Skills & Requirements


10-15 years of software engineering and technology management experience with a minimum of 5+ years in a senior leadership role overseeing the quality assurance practice and related decision making.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills, interpersonal, and collaborative skills.

Experience developing and leading a quality engineering charter and practices including but not limited to crafting test plans, automated test scripts, reporting defects, integration testing, functional testing, UAT, performance testing, regression testing, API testing, and backend testing.

Track record of improving engineering processes across large teams with success in implementing Agile and test-driven methodologies.

Proven ability to ship large scale projects with an emphasis on quality, security, scale, and high-availability.

Demonstrated history of hiring, developing, retaining and upgrading technical talent including the management of globally distributed teams.

Experience integrating with partner solutions and acquired technologies.

Poise and ability to act calmly and competently in high-pressure, high-stress situations.

Must be a critical thinker, with strong problem-solving skills, project management skills: financial/budget management, scheduling, and resource management.

A strong solution orientation with a penchant for not only identifying problems but also finding ways of solving them within typical business constraints.

Ability to lead and motivate cross-functional, interdisciplinary teams to achieve strategic goals.

Ability to professionally handle confidential matters and show an appropriate level of judgment and maturity.

High degree of initiative and ability to work with little supervision.
