Reporting to the Founder & President, the VP of Retail Operations will play an integral role on the leadership team working to achieve financial, operational, and customer experience goals for this high volume food concept with stores nationwide. Success in this role will require an aptitude for analyzing key performance indicators to enhance overall company performance coupled with the ability to drive change where needed. In addition to overseeing day to day operations across the organization, the VP of Retail Operations will help lead the execution of the company’s long-term growth initiatives through advancing systems, data, and infrastructure. Most importantly, the VP of Retail Operations will lead by example, empower individuals, promote brand stewardship, and amplify positive impact for teams and communities.

RESPONSIBILITIES

STRATEGY

Partner with leadership team in developing and executing key growth initiatives for the brand

Analyze data, recognize trends, and formulate ways to expand capacity and capability to achieve significant growth goals and maintain focus on competitive advantage

Explore, recommend, and capitalize on new business opportunities based on customer trends and feedback, business data and metrics, research, and prior experience

Partner with field teams to accurately represent team perspective related to quality, pricing, allocation and marketing initiatives

Participate in annual budgeting process to ensure necessary resources for store initiatives

Provide input into real estate selection process and strategic pipeline

Direct new store design, planning, and opening strategy with direct oversight of construction/development firm

OPERATIONAL EXCELLENCE

Define and refine standard operating procedures, policies, and systems to consistently deliver on mission to provide out-of-this-world service to customers

Provide ongoing leadership to the retail field and corporate teams delivering strong financial results through operational excellence in all new and existing stores

Establish annual operating and resource plans with key metrics to optimize store performance, customer experience, and operational standards

Partner with other functional leaders prioritize needs and seek resolution to operational issues.

Develop staffing Organizationel to consistently hire and train the most passionate, knowledgeable, and nicest store associates

Maintain curiosity for customer feedback and competitive landscape. Communicate and collaborate across functions to pursue opportunities for continuous improvement

Oversee work and food safety compliance, staff member security, and loss prevention. Identify related risks and implement effective mitigation measures

Oversee new market development and new store openings across all markets

REQUIREMENTS

Bachelor’s degree in relevant field plus 10+ years of progressive retail operations experience in foodservice or hospitality environment, with a growing multi-unit/multi-state retail brand

Experience developing and implementing strategic plans with a proven ability to execute in a rapid-growth and fast-scaling organization

Comfortable working with all levels of the organization from part time associate to Board Director, and can lead effectively through others in multiple markets

Demonstrated inspirational and aspirational approach to growing the business and achieving results. Has numerous examples of new and innovative ways to accomplish objectives

Proven ability to thrive in a fast paced, entrepreneurial environment, flexible and comfortable with ambiguity, and confident to determine the appropriate course of action

Track record of success leading initiatives, driving profitability, and effectively managing teams in multiple markets

Effective and inspiring verbal and written communication skills to engage internal and external stakeholders, partners, and team members

Ability to travel up to 50% or more
