Our VP of Training & Development will be our leader of teachers and drive innovation to our curriculum. We are a company that is looking to take a clean whiteboard approach to creating and implementing the training and development function. From new hire onboarding and training to leadership development and succession planning, no area of training will fall outside of our University.


Responsibilities

Lead the design and implementation of leadership and professional development programs with performance measures to gauge program effectiveness.

Continuous learning and education in efforts to consistently innovate and improve the output from the department.Create a top-notch onboarding experience for new hires and internal transitions with the goal of getting them to understand and love Strategic’s values and culture as quickly as possible.

Work closely with the business leaders to clearly understand company goals so that your team can drive results with respect to new and ongoing talent and learning initiatives.

Share input on key talent issues such as engagement, succession planning, and retention.

Relentlessly track and measure results so that we can drive continuous improvement.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree in related field preferred

Fifteen-plus years of learning and development experience, including time spent in organizations known for strong competency in human resources/talent management

Exposure to best-in-class, business-focused learning and development/training functions, with a deep understanding of the impact and synergies between talent strategies and other human resource processes, compensation, talent acquisition and diversity and inclusion.

Deep subject matter expertise in the field of Learning and Development, including comprehensive knowledge of and ability to apply current design and development models, learning technologies, change management practices, and adult learning philosophies. Demonstrated ability to deliver large-scale training programs using various platforms

Successful track record in developing trust-based partnerships with a diverse and distributed workforce in a fast-paced environment, and the ability to translate process into this kind of environment.

Knowledge of, and experience with, the currently available and most highly regarded information systems across all areas of talent management.

Strong business acumen and a proven record of partnering with leadership, product managers and HR to design and implement efficient and effective talent development programs.

Experience leading and/or facilitating large scale and effective change initiatives related to training curriculum, onboarding and team building.
