We are looking for a VP Operations to join our team in Carlisle, PA
Manage long term strategies, motivate teams and set expectations to drive consistency throughout CCM's manufacturing operations. This includes over 45 diverse manufacturing facilities nationally.
Through leadership, create and deploy strategic planning activities Drive continuous improvement and ensure all facilities follow manufacturing best practices (safety, quality, delivery, and cost) and manage teams with mutual trust, respect and integrity. Support and guide businesses toward profitable growth through a mix of efficiency improvements and cost reductions. Assure that manufacturing operations are working closely and cooperatively with all support functions (Engineering, EHS, COS, HR, Supply Chain and R&D).
Create, monitor, and regularly review metrics relating to Safety, Quality, Delivery and Cost.
Ensure alignment of plant strategies and metrics with divisional and corporate strategic goals. .
Support, guide, and mentor Operations Directors in achieving manufacturing and customer support initiatives.
Partner cross functionally with R&IC, Engineering, Finance, Marketing/Sales & Supply Chain
Drive CCM's Carlisle Operating System (COS) initiatives -- to include COS framework, PD projects, MDI, 5S, TPM, kaizen and best practice sharing amongst plants.
Ensure facilities are following OSHA's required safety programs, policies, and practices. Assure the establishment of safety committees, safety meetings and sharing of best practices relating to safety across all operations
Ensure facilities safely follow all environmental rules and best practices to support federal, state and local laws.
Work with Engineering to investigate manufacturing equipment and processes for present and future use.
Build relationships with customers and sales to better ensure customer requirements are being met through operations.
Prepare and deploy integration plans for acquisitions
Bachelor's Degree in an Engineering or Technical discipline with strong business focus.
10 + years of progressive manufacturing leadership experience; with oversight of multiple plant structure.
Familiarity with plant processes, machinery, and maintenance, and lean manufacturing tools
Effective written and verbal communication skills including presentation, respectful debate, and meeting facilitation.
Effective project, people, process and budget management, hiring a skilled team, setting strategy for a large and diverse team.
Effective Leadership through setting expectations and holding team accountable.
Ability to quickly gain input, make decisions, and assure alignment
Ability to effectively present to large groups.
Analyze P&L or budget reports to assess business health and identify improvement opportunities
Create and maintain strong trusting relationships with supporting departments, sales groups and various material and equipment suppliers
