Reporting to the COO, the VP Operations works closely in partnership with the VP Sales to ensure the P&L reaches or exceeds the budgeted expectations. All auto, personal lines and commercial service and support staff report through the Branch Managers to the VP Operations.

The purpose of the role is to create a culture of success in each branch and as a region through hiring the right people, developing and engaging staff, improving processes, and managing the bottom line, through effective two way communication, so that we can retain and grow our customer base. It is a vital people and process leadership role

Key Qualifications

Able to set own priorities and successfully implement actions

5+ years successful experience working in a brokerage or carrier at leadership level. The ideal candidate would have progressive experience on the front line in retail insurance and branch management prior to successful transition to leadership.

CAIB, CIP or other insurance designation along with a post-secondary degree or diploma. The ideal candidate would have a graduate degree or certificate.

Business and financial reporting acumen. Success business growth or business development would be ideal.

Successful experience leading organizational change

Excellent people skills and communication

Team oriented with ability to lead to results and deadlines

Strong organization skills with an aptitude in analytical decision making

Demonstrated ability to build and maintain effective working relationships with colleagues
