As VP, Partner Marketing, your core role is to pitch, win, and grow our merchant partner’s business through effective, innovative, and inspiring marketing activities. As a customer-facing role, you will be responsible for showing up as an inspiring, accountable expert to our merchants, and will partner closely with our market research, product, account management and sales team to ensure our merchant health is strong.Your core responsibilities will be to drive co-marketing activities across our merchant partners, and build a b2b marketing muscle that works as a long tail towards helping us win over merchants. You will design and deliver channel marketing campaigns that drive new merchant acquisition, and increase the activity and engagement levels of existing merchants using Zip through these partner networks. In addition, you will also be responsible for building and scaling a strong POS/ omnichannel marketing subject matter expertise across the team from scratch. You will manage a large team and build it further to accommodate our growth.  


You'll also:


• Take the lead in developing co-marketing programs that deliver growth for Zip and our merchant partners 


• Develop our in-store expertise and our B2B marketing practice to deliver end-to-end omnichannel merchant marketing experience 


• Develop excellent processes, WoW, and marketing franchises for the partner marketing team in collaboration with our account management and sales teams 


• Bring innovative marketing solutions - from conceptual activation ideas to data driven lower funnel strategies to our co-marketing programs


• Establish budget, performance metrics and track processes for regular analysis and reporting


• Develop a best-in-class in-store/ POS team that can reinforce Zip’s pay in 4 anywhere value proposition 


• Take a lead role in establishing the Zip value proposition to our partners and reinforcing it across events, conferences, and merchant pitches 


About you

Some of your experience may include:


• 12+ years of experience as a marketer with at least 6+ years of experience in either media or creative led agencies/ environments or leading co-marketing at a large organization. Experience running programs and managing budgets across all aspects of the marketing funnel is required in this role 


• Blend of both right and left brain - extremely analytical and creative. Astrong problem-solver. 


• Inspiring presenter, communicator, and leader - ability to set vision, and bring cross-functional teams along the journey 


• Client services oriented mindset; an excellent cross-collaborator with a strong bias towards action 


• Must be able to thrive in intense, fast-paced environments, have a self-starting, ambitious attitude with the ability to thrive in ambiguity and adapt to shifting priorities 


• Retail or payment/financial services industry experience will be advantageous Ideally tertiary qualified in business, commerce, marketing or a related discipline


• A terrific people leader with demonstrated ability to build and grow teams
