KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Lead a team responsible for driving business messaging (including by not limited to A2P, SMS, RCS, MMS, and more) and carrier messaging/communications services (P2P, A2P, SMS, RCS, and more) product portfolio (Platforms, applications, API’s, and more)

• Ensure long-term and short-term objectives related to product planning throughout the product lifecycle are executed, including gathering and prioritizing product and customer requirements and defining the product vision

• Provide leadership and ensures team collaborates closely with engineering, sales, marketing and support to ensure revenue and customer satisfaction goals are met

• This role also includes ensuring that the product supports the company's overall strategy and goals

• Provide Product leadership and vision in meetings with Sales and senior level customer executives to develop omnichannel customer experience strategies and solutions solving for customer and market needs

• Responsible for prioritizing development initiatives required to deliver to solutions with the Development organization to ensure proper resource allocation 

• Develop executive-level relationships with key customer decision makers/influencers

• Represent Leading Telecommunications & Wireless Company with public speaking at industry events

• Develop and define product strategies and roadmaps to capitalize on opportunities for growth of existing and new customers

• Manage product line direction through an on-going assessment of current products, pricing and position

• Document concept for new products to meet existing or anticipated market needs

• Develop and review business cases to substantiate new initiatives related to their products

• Understand market pricing and opportunities/risks to existing and new customers

• Developing joint sales plans with the sales force

• Visit/talk with customers and prospects and provide call reports for executive management distribution

• Participate in strategic meetings with customers and prospects to share in depth product knowledge and develop collaborative strategies

• Continuously improve process or recommend process improvements

• Prioritize fixes and enhancements for the products and coordinating with Technology groups to develop and implement

• Deliver MRDs and PRDs with prioritized features and corresponding justification

• Work with external third parties to assess partnerships and vendor opportunities

• Run beta and pilot programs with early-stage products and samples

QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Telecommunications or other related field required

• MBA preferred

• 15 + years of Product Management leadership

• While not an expert on A2P or P2P messaging technologies, understands the technology and applications and has ability to create use cases based on the technology 

• Strong experience in developing omnichannel solutions and technologies and turning those solutions into profitable revenue generating businesses

• Strong experience in creating and launching products and solutions

• Consistent record of delivering business value with keenly developed business acumen

• Strong Financial and analytical skills 

• Understanding of product development process

• Negotiation skills

• Effective problem-solving skills

• Must possess the ability to understand and clearly articulate the lifecycle of tactical implementation to emerging technologies 

• Proven ability to generate trust and build alliances that result in customer retention & satisfaction

• Passion for technology, business, market trends and customer experience

• Expert level understanding digital trends and impact to various industries Depth and breadth of knowledge in multiple industries, with an emphasis on mobility and wireless technologies

• Excellent verbal, interpersonal and presentation skills, with a track record of decisive decision making

• Experience leading product development for a global organization
