The primary function of this Product Manager role is to manage the overall effectiveness and profitability of our product offering. The Product Manager is also responsible for addressing client needs, improving market share, introduction of new products or product enhancements, the oversight of policy and procedures, and end-to-end processes in the product life cycle. The Product Manager is also responsible for building and maintaining relationships with key partners within TDS and TD Bank. Additionally, the Product Manager will act as a source for business, market and competitive information. 

Strong product development and strategy capabilities are integral to and critical to the success of Retail Foreign Exchange business strategy.

Reporting to the Director of Product Management, objectives of the role are to:

Build out new and improve existing product offerings for customers by:

• Working in conjunction with internal business partners (e.g., TD Bank, America’s Most Convenient Bank, Store Banking Operations, Business Banking, Technology, etc.)

• Working with 3rd party vendors

• Understanding a client’s perspective and end-to-end foreign exchange requirements

• Participating in designing solutions to fit their needs

• Maintaining a thorough understanding of end-to-end product processes (from sales; technology; operations; support; legal)

Innovate and bring forward ideas for new products by:

• Keeping pace with regional / industry / global changes which could impact our business

• Conducting on-going reviews of product infrastructure to ensure current needs are sufficient and address future sustainability

• In conjunction with TD Bank partners, actively participate in project meetings as a subject matter expert on innovate product solutions for customers


• Experience and understanding of banking and foreign exchange is an asset

• Product development and/or product management experience for consumer products (preferably banking)

• People management experience and willingness to develop and mentor individuals

• Willingness to work in a fast-paced, ever changing environment

• Deep appreciation of the customer mindset, with an ability to build strategies around their needs and requirements

• Strategic and innovative approach to developing plans and programs to move the business forward

• Experience managing and executing multiple projects / initiatives in parallel

• Excellent judgment; able to provide solid leadership leveraging prior experience and organizational knowledge

• Strong customer orientation and a professional approach with the ability to effectively interact at all levels within the organization

• Understanding of foreign exchange is an asset

• Completion of an undergraduate degree

• Strong MS Office capabilities (Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)

• Must have excellent written and oral communication skills for interacting with partners at all levels
