VP Product Manager is responsible for overseeing all aspects of assigned projects, while attaining domain knowledge, managing communications and building relationships. This role is responsible for maximizing the output of the teams it works with and delivering technology solutions that support Bank OZK’s strategic objectives and generate significant business value.


Essential Job Functions:


Interfaces with product stakeholders throughout project initiation to garner buy-in and approval, check-in throughout development process to ensure adherence to expectations.

Develops business requirements, defines work tasks for developers, runs meetings to define work, continually tests completed development work, and signs off for progression to QA department.

Ensures proper risk and information security oversight are built into the product development lifecycle and facilitates the participation of these stakeholders during scoping and development.

Supports technology investments by improving processes and tools.

Works with DevOps, Release Management, and Quality Assurance teams to ensure smooth and well-documented releases.

Gathers user feedback and enhancement requests to keep improving the product.

Manages Jira – Projects, Backlog, Sprint, Service Desk, release documentation / approvals, risk and information security functions, etc.

Provides post-development support by leading communication, outreach, and training, and by removing impediments that prevent releases, rollouts, and user adoption.

Demonstrates cross-functional leadership within OZK Labs team and other departments across the Bank.

Incorporates data-driven decision-making into the product development process.

Leads by example, demonstrating initiative to accomplish work goals, and clearly communicates a strong vision.

Interfaces with OZK Labs leadership and other key stakeholders within the organization to gain an understanding of the business landscape, looking for opportunities to create business value through technology solutions.

Regularly exercises discretion and judgment in the performance of essential job functions.

Maintains good punctuality and attendance to work.

Follows Bank policy, procedures and guidelines.

Position Requirements:


Basic Qualifications:


Bachelor degree, preferably in engineering or business, or commensurate work experience, required.

Minimum of three (3) years of relevant product management or banking work experience required.

Previous experience leading a team preferred.
