The position will encompass underwriting and oversight all direct Cyber business written across the Leading Insurance - General Company Global Re (MGR) Casualty platform and be a cyber resource for all of MGR.In addition, the position requires underwriting an assigned portfolio of professional and/or medical malpractice treaties.
Center of Excellence for Cyber responsibilities:
Develop and implement a direct cyber strategy.
Underwrite and/or be referral underwriter for all treaties and facultative placements with direct cyber exposure.
Promote, cultivate and develop best practices for cyber underwriting, strategies, and aggregation across the MGR platform (Casualty, Specialty and Property segments) with a focus on addressing both affirmative and non-affirmative cyber exposure.
Work closely with Leading Insurance - General Company Corporation’s Managing Director of Global Cyber Underwriting on corporate cyber initiatives, guidelines, procedures and policies.
Underwrite a portfolio of Professional Liability (directors and officers, errors and omissions, transaction liability) and/or Medical malpractice (physicians and surgeons, hospitals, facilities, nursing homes) Treaties.
Meet and negotiate with clients and brokers to build relationships and to develop new and renewal business.
Project work and report writing as assigned
5+ years of progressive cyber underwriting expertise, marketing and sales acumen
5+ years of experience in professional or healthcare liability
Desire and ability to enhance Leading Insurance - General Company’s position in the global marketplace through external engagement and communication.
Ability to work in a matrixed environment.
Strong analytical, negotiating and problem solving skills
Strong organizational skills with an ability to manage competing, shifting priorities while consistently meeting deadlines
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
High level understanding of P&C and Specialty (re)insurance classes.
Ability to travel up to 40% of time within the US and UK/International
