The VP/Director of Program Management, Global Operations will be essential in ensuring Publicis Groupe products and services are delivered successfully into Publicis agencies on time and to scope. Reporting into the Head of PMO, the VP/Director of Program Management will be responsible for the quality and performance of multiple projects and programs, some of which will be global in their nature and setup. This role will help to define global processes with a focus on maturity and organizational integrity across the agencies. The role will ensure that all new products are developed and deployed following a rigorous scoping and deployment process.


The VP/Director ensures communication among all organizational teams is sufficient to develop realistic project plans and achieve buy-in and commitment to these plans. The VP/Director of Program Management ensures organizational objectives are met with an emphasis on key program deliverable:


Develop and use disciplined processes to successfully complete projects and programs according to a cohesive plan

Capture and control scope for each initiative. Instigate and maintain a strong change control process

Capture and control communication methods using RACI techniques. Assign accountability and responsibilities within project teams

Ensure the overall performance of all projects and programs using RAID and program controls for risk and dependency mitigation. Ensure preventative and corrective actions are taken as needed

Ensure that globalization, support requirements, and training are included in all project plans  Ensure all planning contains transition to Business as Usual with mechanisms for feedback and continuous improvement

Highlight resource conflicts in staffing plans and resolve project resource conflicts if required

Attract, develop, coach, and retain high-performance team members, empowering them to elevate their level of responsibility, span of control, and performance

Ensure staff availability to support all projects and initiatives

Establish and implement best practices and thought-leadership to greater Program Management discipline, the organization and to external clients

Interact with senior and executive level management (as needed) regarding project, expected business outcome, contract/ engagement administration (SOW or internal projects)  Demonstrate diplomacy with clients and customers, patience and a flexible attitude

Provide primary direction, guidance and priority setting at the program level

Perform other duties as assigned or requested 

Qualifications

7-12 years project management experience

8-12 years technology or product development experience or managing in a consulting environment

The candidate must have proven experience in working in a complex, matrixed environment, managing multiple stakeholders

Demonstrated experience managing large-scale, complex programs  Strong negotiation and issue resolution skills

Expert understanding of project & program management processes and methodologies  Ability to interact, manage and influence key stakeholders including executive team members  Strategic thinking and planning

Development and use of effective processes

Development of specific tactics to implement strategies

Commitment to Excellence; through continuous process improvement

Team Building through effective interpersonal skills

Maintaining appropriate visibility of product status

Strong business acumen, organizational awareness and change management skills

Ability to travel 30-50% of time
