Lionsgate is currently seeking a VP, Publicity who will report to the EVP, Marketing to lead Publicity and Community team and implement comprehensive publicity and social campaigns across Home Entertainment, Digital and limited Theatrical windows.


Responsibilities include but are not limited to:


Oversee global communications initiatives across home entertainment, multi-platform and specialty releases for Lionsgate and distribution partners

Develop and maintain strong filmmaker, talent, press, agency and industry relationships

Lead and manage publicity, social media teams and supporting agencies to coordinate and execute strong editorial and organic media campaigns using creative and unique tactics

Create and collaborate on film life-cycle strategy and positioning, initiatives and retail partnerships throughout all distribution windows for digital, multi-platform and physical releases

Work closely with Integrated Marketing, Creative Development, Production and Digital Distribution teams, among others, and act as talent and filmmaker liaison for each discipline, distributing requests and securing approvals as needed

Collaborate closely with all marketing, distribution, partner and production groups to execute highly strategic, holistic and effective campaigns  

Provide talent and executives with guidance on publicity strategy and create talking points for press appearances to tailor messaging for each media outlet to maximize campaign value

Evaluate demographics of a diverse slate with strategize messaging points and press pitches for each project and manage negotiations of press coverage

Serve as a leader in the division, mentoring direct reports and junior staffers on standards of excellence, best practices, communication and decision making while avoiding micro-management

Provides regular, comprehensive and actionable updates to leadership of all levels

Leverages market research, audience insights and performance metrics to build strategy, fuel decision making, optimize approach and measure performance

Constantly ideates on new ways to generate audience awareness, engagement and intent; create direct touchpoints with consumers; and increase department efficiency and effectiveness

Completes additional special projects as warranted, including self-directed efforts


Experience & Skills:


Minimum of 10 years of experience in a marketing and/or publicity capacity

Eligibility Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in communications or related degree

Willingness to work overtime and be flexible with hours

Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality

Superior communication skills (written and verbal)

Ability to interact effectively with all levels of management

Strong management skills with experience managing several direct reports & agencies

Strategic, forward thinking

Highly organized and detail oriented

Ability to successfully manage multiple projects and deal with deadline pressure

Strong work ethic
