Lead the scheduling and project control functions for the MSG Sphere at the Venetian to monitor, analyze and report whether the project is on track in relation to schedule and the required progress and productivity is being achieved. Compile and manage the project risk and opportunities register. This role will have full oversight and line management authority of the Scheduling, Risk, Reporting, Document Controls and Productivity Management teams to provide senior level coordination and direction through the construction delivery of the project. The role will require a granular understanding of the day to day issues across the scheduling and controls functions, however the position will also be required to provide executive level reports for both the regular reporting cycles and for adhoc requests from senior management.
Represent the MSGdc Department for the MSG Sphere Las Vegas Project in relation to the above elements. Manage liaison and communication in this regard within the project team, identified stakeholders, the supply chain and industry professionals. Liaise and coordinate with Construction Technology Team including day to day coordination the relevant department leads. Develop an understanding of the overall delivery process and transferable expertise to contribute to the implementation of lessons learnt and the delivery of subsequent Sphere projects.
Specific Functions/Activities Summary
Provide oversight and direction to the scheduling, risk management, document management, reporting and productivity management teams to facilitate timely and accurate analysis and reporting to the project leadership.
Work with associated teams to develop, periodically review and improve project controls processes and procedures to be adopted both on the Las Vegas Project and on other MSG Sphere Projects. Deliver a consistent and coordinated approach, including but limited to:
Performance monitoring and reporting
Information Systems & Digital Tools
Development of WBS and planning codes
Lead the analysis of schedule related data, identifying issues and opportunities and provide solutions to ensure all schedule objectives are met.
Oversee the defined processes and tools that are implemented and identified in the PEP, ensuring compliance to the same with issues being addressed with all relevant stakeholders.
Generate and implement methods for gathering and interpreting pertinent project information with analysis focused on identifying and mitigating or resolving negative impacts.
Continually monitor the ability of the digital tools and associated processes to effectively manage and control the project, recommend improvements and enhancements as necessary.
Liaise with the Construction & Cost Management Teams plus the Construction Technology Team to ensure schedule and cost deliverables are understood and are being reported against.
Reporting – Interface with and challenge the Project Team as well as Subcontractors and Design Consultants on their reports. Evaluate and escalate where necessary areas of concern and ensure that project objectives are met. Supervise the development of accurate and timely reports and dashboards.
Preparing risk assessment and mitigation plans.
Minimum of 12 years of experience in construction / project management.
Direct experience in leading schedule or project controls functions on large complex projects.
Analytical and critical thinking.

Knowledge and Skill Requirements:
Principles, methods and practices related to construction management.
Experience in earned value analysis.
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS OF THE JOB:
This will be a Las Vegas-based role; however, it may also require limited travel to MSG offices in New York & London as well as design team and contractor offices.
Candidates who have completed 60 credits of college-level coursework (representing 2 years), or have shown similar self-development through certifications, trade school coursework, etc. are preferred.
