Are you an outstanding negotiator that thrives in high-pressure situations to deliver solutions? Do you love leading diverse teams and developing talent? Ericsson is now looking for a VP Strategic Sourcing for its US and Canadian operations (Market Area North America – MANA).
Reporting to the MANA CFO, you’ll lead a team of network services sourcing professionals focused on helping customers build out their telecommunications infrastructure and 5G networks. You’ll also be responsible for managing relationships between the globalized sourcing organization and Market Area stakeholders – leading a team of approximately 30 Sourcing Business Partners & Sourcing Category Managers to secure a supplier base that meets Ericsson’s current and future needs, ensuring that the sourcing organization is a valued partner within the business.
This position is also a member of the Ericsson Global Sourcing Leadership team.
Be accountable for the contracts that govern the external spend for all services and site products procured to support MANA business.
Improve MANA working capital, portfolio competitiveness & profitability
Nurture the right team culture, motivate and develop employees within the organization
Identify areas of alignment and collaborate across organizations to eliminate duplication or complexity
Ensure achievement of cost improvement targets per portfolio
Ensure business readiness in areas where Ericsson is pursuing new market opportunities
Champion continuous improvement through common tools, ways of working, best practices for effectiveness, efficiency and simplicity
Ensure compliance with all laws and ISO certification requirements.

We are looking for someone with:
Significant operational experience with Sourcing / Procurement in the IT or Telecommunications industry
Proven negotiation experience – either as a customer or a supplier
Strong commercial acumen
Passion for driving and delivering impactful changes
Executive-level communication, influencing, and decision-making skills with the ability to work across geographies & functions autonomously to get results
A consistent track record of hiring, motivating and developing talent in multi-level teams
Experience with Compliance and ISO certification requirements
A bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance or another applicable specialty
