Generate strategic media initiatives and lead all aspects of media planning for clients or products.


Responsibilities:


Responsible for developing, implementing and executing strategy to define the future direction ofaccount

Resource for others in defining high level strategy for subsidiaries/business unit

Responsible for designing and managing projects and resources for subsidiaries/business unit

Oversee national media plan development and take strategic lead on plans for specified group/account

Evaluates composition of a wide range of media vehicles to determine which would most effectively reach the target audience. Effectively communicates and solicits agreement of best opportunities for clients

Directs the long-range planning and development of programs to ensure best use of organizational resources

Serves as leadership and content development coordinator for all client presentations

Identifies key target insights based on client brief necessary for formulating communication strategy

· Responsible for long range strategic vision for industry, driving innovation and how it applies to clients’ needs

Responsible for guiding execution and stewarding business

Work with the Consumer Insights and research teams to identify and deliver key learning opportunities for client

Team leader for client interaction fostering positive relationships 

Leading, training and developing staff (managing workload, delegating responsibilities and checking work for accuracy, performance management, talent growth and retention)

Providing staffing recommendation and daily supervision to account(s)

Ability to cross sell inter-agency products and services

Participates in new business efforts including development of new business pitches and client on-boarding

Participation in special projects involving cross department team development and leadership

Proven experience and success in presenting plans to client and influencing top level client decisions related to local media strategy and implementation

Excellent leadership, management and motivational skills

Excellent organizational, interpersonal and quantitative/analytical skills

Strong client presentation skills and business writing skills

Demonstrated expertise in strategic planning and client relations

Detail-oriented and proven ability to thrive in a fast paced environment.

Education/Experience:

Bachelor’s Degree

10+ years media planning experience

Progressively responsible experience in people management and leadership

Business Competencies:


Fluency with Media Tools and solid understanding of Digital Planning tools

Able to work with internal research team to develop learning plans for client

Able to develop, implement and execute strategy to define future directionbusiness unit
