Overview: This role leads the talent acquisition strategy and process for all brands and functions in the J. Crew Group. Individual will lead a team responsible for developing and delivering a talent pipeline strategy for key roles across the company including home office, stores, distribution centers and customer contact centers. They will act as a change agent and ensure that talent acquisition strategy aligns with the needs of the business.This person will be an important member of the Human Resources leadership team and lead the Center of Excellence (COE) function for Talent Acquisition and Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion.


Primary responsibilities include:


Develop talent acquisition strategy that leverages existing company processes, practices, and systems while innovating where required; establish performance KPI's and metrics for the TA function

Drive DEI agenda for the Company and be a champion for change to ensure that the strategy aligns with the needs of the business while supporting associates across businesses and functions.

Participate in talent planning process in partnership withHRBPs

Lead and develop TA and DEI team (5 direct reports; 14 total team;) ensure skill development and career planning for all team members

Build relationships with key internal and external talent; understand their profiles and career interests

Develop sourcing strategies to attract diverse talent across all functions

Stay connected to external fashion retail market (what is trending, who key players are, key organizational structure to provide competitive insights)and build marketplace insights related talent movement, talent identification, and competition

Ensure end to end candidate recruitment management and supreme candidate experience

Ensure effectiveness of HR function by collaborating with other Centers of Excellence (COEs) in Total Rewards, HR Technology, Change Management, Associate Communications, and Associate Relations

Champion the organizational values and culture

Develop annual plans and budgets, optimizing staff headcount and overhead costs

Candidate Profile


An experienced talent acquisition professional with 10-15 years corporate experience

Strong exposure to DEI strategy and best practices with preference for candidate with prior experience in DEI role

Track record of driving internal and external recruiting, and not tied to traditional acquisition practices

Has worked in companies with great talent acquisition programs and been part of developing framework for greatness

Has experience leading projects

People management experience
