The Vice President of Technology and Digital Innovation.  is responsible to establish and implement digital strategy, with an impact on the achievement of business results.The focus is on long-term strategies (e.g. 3-5 years) to achieve business results. Directly influencing the overall digital and technology business strategies.Requires ability to communicate with senior executive leadership regarding matters of strategic importance to the organization.  Responsible for improving upon entire processes or systems, leveraging on personal past experiences and in-depth understanding of best practices in the marketplace that may improve the competitive position and efficiency and effectiveness of the organization.


• Establish and direct the strategic long-term goals, policies, and procedures for the IT department.


• Define and execute IT strategy; aligning IT objectives and programs to enterprise objectives and strategies.


• Analyze, evaluate, and propose digital front door, network, security, telecommunications, storage, database, and technology architecture: hardware, software, protocols, topology, and strategy.


• Select and implement suitable digital technology to streamline all internal operations and help optimize their strategic benefits. Design and customize technological systems and platforms to improve customer experience.


• Plan the implementation of new systems and provide guidance to IT professionals and other staff within the organization.


• Responsible for developing mid-term plans on how to optimize his/her organization and the talent required to execute strategies for the area of responsibility.


• Approve purchases of technological equipment and software and establish partnerships with IT providers. Oversee the technological infrastructure (networks and computer systems) in the organization to ensure optimal performance.


• Direct and organize IT-related projects. Build processes for data protection and quality assurance. Provides oversight on the organization’s enterprise data management framework


• Sets the strategy, technical direction, and adoption of the next generation data platform. Provide oversight and direction on the design and data architecture of highly scalable and fault-tolerant applications. Monitor changes or advancements in technology to discover ways the company can gain competitive advantage.


• Analyze the costs, value, and risks of information technology to advise management and suggest actions. Determine an organization's long-term systems needs and any hardware acquisitions needed to accomplish the organization's business objectives. Demonstrate expertise in a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures.


• Manage overall IT budget. Identify and mitigate risks. Worked in concert with the Executive Leadership team. Other duties as assigned


Special Requirements


• Bachelor’s in computer science or related field required. 


• MBA or other relevant graduate degree is a plus.

• Requires advanced business acumen, general management and leadership capability to lead business or functional teams.  Experience in Digital or Technology functions or broad expertise across multiple related disciplines.


• Strong understanding of healthcare issues, information systems, management issues, and current trends


• Broad understanding of complex heterogeneous technologies and the ability to synthesize new technical information into existing structures


• Strong planning, organization, critical thinking, decision-making and communication (verbal and written) skills.
