What you’ll do:

As a Virtual Financial Consultant, you’ll need an entrepreneurial spirit and a passion for building a growing practice focused on client needs. The Virtual Financial Consultant works collaboratively as a team to proactively grow an affluent wealth management practice and work with clients virtually using innovativetechnology tools to determine appropriate service and solution strategies to deepen relationships..The Virtual Financial Consultants will develop and execute on a business plan to generate new clients. They will proactively generate prospects through partnerships and relationship development. The Virtual Financial Consultants help the firm grow and are responsible for providing planning based wealth management for affluent clients.Virtual Financial Consultants also focus on developing referrals as well as increasing net asset flow and offering advised solutions. 

Schwab Virtual Financial Consultants:  

 Are launched with a practice of existing Schwab clients that they build upon with the full backing, support, and extensive resources of Schwab.

Are part of a team of experts who provide guidance to clients over the phone and/or video conference.

Are compensated, as a team, for the solutions and value they deliver.

Partner with specialists across the company who help them achieve their personal and professional goals, which are always set high and client-focused. 

Primary responsibilities include:

Work collaboratively in a team environment to support existing client’s, while prospecting to build new relationships

Utilize virtual communication tools to practice consultative planning based wealth management approach to best assess and find appropriate solutions to meet client’s needs. 

Leverage expertise and knowledge of the securities industry and markets to analyze and interpret client’s investment objectives and provide investment advice suited to meet their needs.

Increase brand awareness by prospecting, soliciting referrals and leveraging relationships with centers of influence.

Execute a consistent client relationship management process that delights clients, drives referrals, and retains clients at Schwab for life.

Engage with clients to inspire a level of trust that increases retention, client promoter scores and positive feedback

Leverage existing relationship resources (i.e. planning tools, etc.) to deepen and retain client relationships.

Build relationships with key business partners and connect with others across the firm to drive results and provide the best client experience.

Identify innovative ways to engage with clients by leveraging technology tools.

WHAT YOU HAVE:

A desire to change the way you look at your career

A minimum of four years’ financial services experience working with retail clients, with proven success in providing advice and consultation, and in managing, developing, and expanding client relationships

Strong industry and market knowledge

Excellent consultative, interpersonal, and communication skills

EDUCATION, LICENSES, AND DESIGNATIONS:

Bachelor’s degree required

A valid and active Series 7 license is required

A valid and active Series 66 (63/65) license is required (may be obtained within a 90-day condition of employment)

A valid and active Life andHealth Insurance license is required (may be obtained within a 120-day condition of employment)

CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ (CFP®) certification is preferred
