The VP, CRA Mortgage Business Development Officer is responsible for promoting and sourcing Community Reinvestment Act (CRA) eligible residential loans within the MidWestOne Bank market and assessment areas. They will also coordinate and lead community development and outreach initiatives.
Develop and maintain a regular business plan that includes external sales visits and promotion with MidWestOne Mortgage Bankers, realtors, builders, affordable housing providers, non-profit community organizations, etc
Establishes a strong presence for MidWestOne Bank in the assigned territory by developing relationships and affiliations with low-and-moderate income housing programs
Hosts and attends homebuyer education seminars, trade shows and other financial education events to raise consumer awareness of MidWestOne Bank loan products
Encourages bank participation and support of charitable and non-profit service opportunities and outreach opportunities, and documents these efforts accordingly
Contributes to the bank's profit projections through individual and department referral goals and strategies
Assists in the establishing and monitoring our CRA Mortgage Banking Officer business development and affiliation outreach plan
Actively assists in the training of MidWestOne Mortgage Bankers on low-and-moderate income products and programs
Actively participates in bank activities to train retail staff and gain mortgage referrals
Participates in regular sales, product and regulatory trainings as assigned by the bank management
Assists with developing new programs based on the needs of low-and-moderate income borrowers in our communities
Must possess excellent presentation and communication skills; prioritize work demands effectively and be able to manage an external business development plan. Knowledge of overall real estate sales or mortgage lending processes is required.
Experience providing loan products to low-and-moderate income and first-time homebuyers
Community development banking experience with proven results
Minimum of 10 years mortgage banking experience
Bi-lingual language abilities preferred
Bachelor s degree preferred
Must be S.A.F.E. Act registered through NMLS
