The SVP Product will have complete ownership of the payment processing product team and will report directly to the Chief Product Officer.This role is a key leadership team member for the payment processing business unit and so will have a dotted line reporting responsibility to the CEO of the Payment Processing business and will be responsible for supporting the business strategy and objectives of the business unit. Ultimately, success in this role is directly aligned with success of the business unit.

The key responsibilities of this role include:

Reviewing and establishing the appropriate team structure, talent level, role definition and reporting lines for the entire payment processing team

Reviewing the current product roadmap and extending it beyond 12 months in line with the business strategy and commercial objectives established by the CEO of the payment processing business

Driving the delivery of new products and services targeted at small business owners in the US, via the direct and partner sales channels

Specific product priorities include launching a Paysafe branded POS system with an accompanying software ecosystem, delivering new services to the partner channel that enable the growth of their merchant portfolios, evolving the suite of value-added services that can be part of a cross-sell proposition to merchants

Delivering a multi-channel capability that is appropriate for the various channels that Paysafe has prioritized (direct, ISO, ISV)

Establishing a product development and management methodology that is consistent with the accepted norms for the group as a whole

Becoming the voice of the market to the business unit – including on-going competitive monitoring, card network developments and changes in key market verticals

The ideal candidate

Above all else, the ideal candidate will demonstrate strong leadership traits in driving the transformation of a critical business capability and in supporting the overall transformation of the business itself. The ideal candidate will possess the following traits:

Be capable of going from strategy to execution on the development and delivery of new products and services to the business

Have demonstrated success in managing a large and diverse portfolio of products across the product management cycle from new product introduction to product retirement and sunsetting

Approach product management with a P&L mindset – owning the entirety of the proposition from pricing to product marketing and displaying a sense of true business ownership

Have leadership experience in growing and right-sizing a team of product managers across various locations and business focus areas

Be a strong communicator and capable of managing up and down to a diverse, vocal group of stakeholders

Ideally bring 10+ years of hands-on product management in a variety of roles

Ideally have worked in the payments industry and display a strong working knowledge of the cards payment eco-system (acceptance, authorization, settlement, reconciliation, direct and indirect sales)

Candidates who have worked in small-business software product development and management will also be considered, if they have dealt with payments in prior roles
