About the Presenter

Our presenter, Cait Clarke, is the director Strategic Initiatives at the National Legal Aid & Defender Association in Washington DC. She served as the director of Federal Programs at Equal Justice Works. 

Cait has been a legal educator with 25 years of experience teaching law, training, and consulting on the law, policy reform and leadership skills. She served as a principal and the legal education specialist with Watershed Associates a Washington, D.C. – based organization focused on providing negotiations training to business and government agencies worldwide.  She is the co-author of “Dare to Ask! The Women’s Guidebook to Successful Negotiating.”  And, she was the founding director of the National Defender Leadership Institute at the National Legal Aid & Defender Association (NLADA).

Cait holds degrees from Georgetown University, Catholic University and Villanova University School of Business, as well as a doctoral degree from Harvard.
