Is Marketing Dead?

About the class

As CEOs are becoming more and more dissatisfied with the performance of CMOs, the question: "Is the golden age of marketing coming to a close?" has begun to float around the global business sphere. Join our online class where we will discuss the main market trends reshaping marketing, and examine the industry responses that successful companies are providing. This presentation will center around a prominent and timely question: what sort of marketing executives does business require?

This class, presented by IE Professor, Ignacio Gafo, will share the challenges that face marketers today, the mindset they need to adopt, and how they can learn that mindset. He will also share research that shows why CEOs are dissatisfied with their marketing departments from the viewpoint of customer satisfaction and acquisition, social media strategy, overall marketing strategy, and how these all fit within the company’s business model.

Finally, Professor Gafo will show the path forward with examples of companies who are successfully implementing modern marketing practices, and developing new breeds of marketers.
