Skillful Negotiation on the Job

About the class

Whether you are negotiating the terms of a prospective new job or advancement in your current position, being a skillful negotiator is an essential and valuable tool. Too often we focus linearly on the end goal without taking into account the relationship with the individual sitting across the table from us and the effect this process can have on it.

In this class, you will learn how to evaluate specifically what you want, set parameters for your tolerances of variance and engage in honest and respectful exchange of desired outcomes with your fellow negotiator. You will also learn the type of language that encourages healthy discussion of options as well as how to bring your conversation to a successful and mutually beneficial solution.
