Join Columbia Business School and Ivy Exec for this timely interactive workshop that addresses best practices as well as cautionary tales about job transitions and how to make them.

Presented by Tom Monaco of the Career Management Center at Columbia Business School, workshop attendees will learn tips and strategies that can help make changing careers a reality, regardless of your current or future industry. Tom will also explain how to clarify and codify factors that are important to you in a job so you can make the most informed decision in designing and shaping your long-term career.

About the Presenter

Tom Monaco is an experienced career advisor and executive coach who has worked with successful professionals at all stages of their careers. Tom has held a variety of leadership roles within Columbia Business School’s Career Management Center (CMC) for over 15 years. He currently serves as Executive Director of Experienced Professionals Career Management where he manages the delivery of leadership development and career-related programs to CBS Alumni and Executive MBA students. 

Tom had a prior career in financial services working on the audit staff of Ernst & Young; as an accounting manager at Bear Stearns Mortgage Capital Corporation; and in microfinance for an NGO in Tanzania. He possesses CELTA certification (Certificate in English Language Teaching to Adults) and has taught ESL to corporate clients in Prague, Czech Republic. Tom has an MA in Education from The Ohio State University and a BS in Accounting from Villanova University.
